Stage 1: Instructions: Send me a chicken (email).

Step-by-step instructions:
1. Log into your email account. How?
   
   Close

   If your email is a class-only email, log in on the class page or at
   https://www.justhost.com/cgi/webmail
   
   Your email address is:
   first.last@pageofmystery.com
   Substitute your first and last names for first.last.
   
   Your password was given to you by Ms. Lowe. If you have lost it, ask Ms. Lowe.
   Select the word "horde"
   Select log in
   Select Mail in the left-hand column.
   Select New Message at the top. If you are still having problems, contact Ms. Lowe.
2. The address you will send the message to is:
   mystery@pageofmystery.com
3. For the subject, please type:
   I am sending you a chicken
4. For the body write:
   Your name, class period, and the words "Here is your chicken".
5. Download the chicken found at http://science.pageofmystery.com/comptech/Chickenbaby.jpg How?
   
   Close

   Highlight the address below
   http://science.pageofmystery.com/comptech/Chickenbaby.jpg
   Right-click on the highlighted address and select "copy".
   Open a web browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer, or another).
   Click in the address bar of the browser, the click the right mouse button.
   Paste the web address and hit return.
   
   A picture of a chicken should pop up. Right click on the picture.
   Select "Save picture as" or "Save image as"
   Save the image to your desktop or file.
   
   If you are still having problems, contact Ms. Lowe.
6. Attach the picture to your message. How?
   
   Close

   On your email page, click on the button labeled "attachments"
   You will probably have to select "Browse"
   Find Chickenbaby.jpg on the desktop and click on it.
   On many emails, you have now attached the image.
   If you are still having problems, contact Ms. Lowe.
7. Send your message.
