Actually, my first name is Debra and I was raised in Lehi, Utah. I lived there with a pair of grandparents, my parents and four sisters. There was usually a cat or other pets hanging around too. There I attended school and found that I loved science and learning.
I went to college at
Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I spent a little time in south-eastern Louisiana before continuing with my education.
Once back in Utah, I was a teacher's
aide at Pleasant Grove Junior High for two years. Then back to BYU to finish
my teaching degree. I interned at Farrer Middle School (now Provo Peaks Elementary) and met many delightful people there.
I moved to Salt Lake and worked for six years at Midvale Middle School in the gifted and talented department. The time was right to continue my education, and so I went to Utah State University for my master's degree. Afterwards, I came to teach at Liberty Academy Charter School, and am enjoying my new experiences.
So, I've obviously left out the most interesting parts. For that, you'll just have to get to know me. Like with each of you, there's more than meets the eye. I'll give you a short list of a few things I like though.
